Volunteer Drivers
Two drivers are needed each week day, 5 days a week, to provide transportation to our neighbors. Each driver is asked to serve 2 week days a month from 7:45am to 5pm. Volunteers are trained and allowed to choose days which best fit their schedule.
Volunteer Schedulers
Schedulers are trained and work from home on their personal computer, using an appointment program. A scheduler spends approximately 1 to 2 hours for each assigned day. Previous experience with a computer is very helpful, but you do not need to be an "expert" to use the program. Duties include listening (from home) to office voice messages requesting rides and general information, updating schedules for drivers and confirming the riders' appointments. Each scheduler works 3 to 4 days a month, totaling 3 to 8 hours for the month.
